First off, I want to wish you a very happy New Year! 2018 wasn't a truly wonderful year, but I feel blessed that I am in my right mind,a roof over my head. I know it's been a while. Thanking God that the GSD has finally ended! I had to check in and say that I'm still here.
I've been working on and learning "Square"and setting up my new website store and it was a headache for sure! Also started on new babies for the year and the next show and hoping to find homes for the older ones soon. My older sister started out her new year badly, feel down a basement step and busted up her femur bone, luckily not her driving leg. All is well, and she is slowly on the mend and making progress.
I've also been trying out new air dry paints by Ultimate Fusion. I like trying new air dry paints designed for the reborn artist and these paints are pretty good. I really loved BabyFX and these paints remind me of them. I still love the Miracle Blend and it seems the same problem has shown its ugly face. 😟Seems every time I fall in love with a particular paint that they stop making it. LOL
l will be back with pictures and setting up to have a "Sweetheart of a Deal" sale on my website shortly, so stay tuned and check out my store!
From my heart to yours...

Wichita Kansas Doll Show
Well for a first show, Jennifer, Scott and their lovely family, I am very happy to say it was a wonderful success and fun! I got to see old friends and met new ones. The 2018 show participation started out a little shaky but in the end vendors joined in. They were helpful and wonderful hosts. In the previous shows that I have done that kind of special touch was never offered and everyone we encountered were friendly and fun. It was very well organized and coordinated, you wouldn't have known it was a first for them. I might add that they sold out for the 2019 doll show within 24 hours! It was a mad rush after all of the lovely reviews and had I not happened to go on FB that particular evening, I would have completely missed out! Whewwww, in less than 24 hours! Now they have a waiting list just in case some vendors may not be able to attend next year! I knew that they would grow fast, but....wow! Now, I just pray that they keep that reference of personalization, because in 2020 they will definitely need a larger venue and more help. LOLROTF
Marita (Monty) Winters hosted the Wizard of Oz Doll contest using her specified kits and I must say there were some imaginative and beautifully done depictions of the Oz characters! We weren't allowed to show any pictures or naming the entry catagory until after the contest was over. It was all secret and I liked that even though it was hard not to share. That being said, yes I did enter "Zane" as Glinda the Good Baby Witch. I had a ball doing this and I am going to say that it was a shock and honor. She placed 1st as "Glinda" and Best In Show! Never in a million years would I have thought that!
Now for the recap. It was fun and inspiring! I met old and new friends and I loved the special touch! It was hard to see how they could top this year's venue of "Follow the Yellowbrick Road", but I think that they might have! Stay tuned. Now for pictures!

The self destructive life of an Artist
Wanted to share this about the life of an Artist
How we put ourselves down not only as artists, but human beings. I am so guilty of many of these:
How we really can uplift ourselves, by first stop looking for others approval. We have to learn how to make ourselves happy. Remember how babies, in their innocence, can sit and play and laugh all by themselves without a care in the world? We need to empty our minds and get back to that innocence.I am guilty of self-sabotage. I am re-learning/re-teaching myself how to love living with me. I am going to live for me, create my babies with love as always. Because, there is someone out there that will find and appreciate my talents for mine alone. I grant myself permission to be human! So there, got that off my chest!
I will soon be putting a very pretty Camelah Elaine photo shoot for you to see (ok, not the entire shoot, but some very enchanting photos). She is just adorable, Kenzie sculpt by Donna RuBert.
See ya soon, peace, love, power and God Bless!

Hope that you like the new LOOK!
Hi! I so hope that you had a marvelous and blessed weekend.
I also hope that you like the new look? Just seemed time for a change, so I decided to take the plunge and just DOIT!
I have been rooting that melon head of Camelah Elaine (just keep breaking needles on it, not cool). I do believe that she's going to be simply adorable if I might say so myself. OK, I will. She's going to be simply a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e! LOL Then, I want to get started on the "tiny ones". I just can't wait! I have always said that I am a slow painting artist. I just like to complete the baby / babies that I am working on, giving them my total focus before going to the next unless they are special orders. I always have and I am thinkin...I always will.
I even attended my 45th class reunion, kinda under protest, but glad that I did go to the banquet. It was kinda fun, good seeing some people that I hadn't seen since high school! Why did we have a "roaring twenties" theme? I don't know...I still tried to participate in spite of it and those that didn't. (snickering) I will have to get pictures on here soon!
Got to see "Sister Trip" and I haven't laughed that much in years! It was just good and the cast was ALL STAR in my book any day! Needed a break from all of the mess that's going on. Had to take my little Diva to the vet 2 weeks ago, doing something that she really rarely does...excuse me, but puking. Then she has been literally gnawing on her paws at certain times (one in particular) and that I figured was allergy related especially after it rains and she walks in the grass. She chews her own nails, turns those little suckers into cat claws and I do find that amazing, painful, but amazing. Then I had noticed that she had started losing weight but, in her case it was good because she is my little pudjums! I even asked her if she was putting herself on a diet...did I get an answer, no not really. However, if looks could kill. All joking aside, she was scaring me. I mean I understand that she'll be 10 next April but I am looking to spend with her another 10, God willing. She has been my rock and my little furry guardian angel through it ALL. So off to the vet and 4 meds (all total later poor thing had a yeast infection in her ears and on her paws which included a bacterial infection. She's doing much, much better no more puking, still does some itching after walking in wet grass, but less intense. My GURL is in love with her bland diet of boiled "chic/rice pattays" that I have been feeding her.You would think that she was getting prime rib. Will be transitioning her back to her regular diet and I am seriously thinking of changing that . Her little bro-bro has been giving her moral support, except when he pooped on the floor of the vet hospital (another not cool moment in time).
Well, been up all night guess I do need to go to bed! Have a wonderful day and yak back at ya soon! Next time pictures too!

Didnt't like the new site so I'm crawling back & bringing this one back up to date
Just so it didn't look like I was totally absent from the world I am putting the posts that I did get in back on this Blog. I just couldn't get the feel for the other site and just to darned hard to remember where it was! LOL And in truth, I truly fell off of the wagon. Everytime I thought that I could get back on, it just didn't work for me. So, I stopped fighting it and just let it go. Needless to say I have a long way to go to catch up, but I am working on it! Starting with the last two years!
The really wonderful part about the doll show in Denver is that I got to take my baby "fur" with me. She was a hit in her own little stroller. I do have some babies to put on here and they are on my website which I was also sadly neglecting. I am getting excited because, I am trying out new air dry paints "Baby FX and Miracle Blend Paints" and the powders. I have so much more, but for today...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND HOPING FOR A BRIGHTER NEW YEAR.
This year has gone by so fast for me, I honestly don’t know what happened. I just figured that I needed to take a sabbatical or something to refocus my energies! I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and got lots of pressies! The holidays and especially Christmas / New Years is not a good time for me. However, I must admit, this Christmas is the first time since my husband’s passing that I actually enjoyed cooking. Family came, we ate very well as I cooked too much, but we did have a great time playing games and doing a coloring contest (some doth protest, but ended up enjoying it)! So did the furry nephews and niece (with my two) 5 dogs and a puppy LOL Anyway, not making any more pledges, I will just try to keep updating my blog and hope that people still read it. 2016 has got to be better so I hope that you and your family have a very blessed and prosperous New Year! See You Next Year and much LOVE!
"SORRY, JUST SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED!
First I will bring you up-to-date.
Why I am so far behind blogging? After updating my work area, photography studio…I worked very hard on getting babies ready for a show in Denver this past July. Not an easy task, wanting to show them was just so hard not to do. It was my first real road trip in a long time! I was stressed, but excited at the same time. Then, we (my family) started losing cousins. Since January we have averaged a cousin lost every two months. Let’s just say that it didn’t help my stress level, not one bit. The last one was in August. They were all close cousins, all of them. Ranging in age 22 to 70 years of age. So my heart was heavy, especially with the 22 year old. She was going to graduate from nursing school this past May, dying suddenly and leaving behind her young son. I still don’t do well with losing family, it just reminds me of what I am trying so hard to move along from, it’s so very hard.
Denver was interesting, my sister, Lil D (my baby) and I drove straight through from Missouri and back. We were already warned that there wasn’t much to see…they were right, we got excited about seeing the windmill farms! LOL Lots of rolling grassy hills a few horses and cattle, even saw a tiny herd of buffalo. So, there you have it, grass, grass and more grass! The show setup was beautiful and huge, but being in it’s infancy stage there were a few hiccups that made it a little difficult to be at your best! I have to admit, I actually did get to shop this time and didn’t get everything that I wanted because I didn’t get to see every supplier(a good thing, because there was only so much room in my little SUV), but I did get a nice little haul besides my supplies! I purchased 7 kits (Bonnie Brown’s “twin A & B”, Marita Winters “Denver Rose”, Laura Tozio-Ross’s “Vincent”, Bountiful Baby’s fairy twins “Clover & Jasper” and an older kit Dimples by Melissa Palesse! They are all just ADORABLE!!
I have started on the little fairy baby twins, I just couldn’t resist. Jasper is wide eyed and curious and Clover is just snoozing as twins do! I have their little wings, outfits and everything ready. I will be painting them with a permanent air-dry paints that I am totally in love with…Miracle Blends. They are just awesome!! I will have babies on my “Available Babies” page that have been done with these wonderful paints.
There were tons and tons of beautiful babies and awesome talent! I just hope that one day I will be able to afford one of Laura Tozio’s silicone babies. The word gorgeous just doesn’t come close to her babies!!! I now have faces with names, I got to meet the lovely Debbie Henshaw (TNGUN) I use a lot of her beautiful mohair for my babies, pretty Julie Beck and her lovely babies and a lot more new faces and friends. I have lots of pictures! As well, all of the sculptors that I met were so gracious! Claire Taylor, Bonnie Brown, Donna RuBert (so funny!!!) and she personally autographed Taleya’s body after making a very lovely compliment, Marita Winters, and of course Laura Tozio-Ross and her very beautiful family!
Sorry this is so long and I know too well that it’s been a while and September is not a great month for me. No matter, I have made up my mind to get back in the saddle “and get out of my own way”. I will keep you more up-to-date with my babies."

"NEW HOME AND NEW BABY!
I am so excited that I finally got my blog moved closer to my website (so to speak). I just wanted you to know that it’s a new location and I am working on getting the available babies on site! I have finally got shelves up, supplies have a home now, getting rid of my home gym that I know that I will never use again, for my photo studio, that will be independent of the nursery!! YEAHHHH!!
I also have a new one, a tiny one, a micro-preemie! I just love doing micro-preemies! Her name is Philana (“Zane” sculpt by Marita Winters), she’s just adorable! She has beautiful skin tones by using Jo Sonja’s permanent air dry paints. Just a teaser. She is 10.5″ long, weighs 14 ozs., has “milk mouth”, sporting a cutely styled clear cap strawberry blonde mohair wig (just for change), custom sewn outfits and more!

I have most of the available babies photos done, now I have to figure out the photo gallery! Never a dull moment…"

I have finally, finally got organized...I hope! Meet Taleya
This is the "Annie" kit from BB by Donna RuBert. She's a chubby baby weighing a whopping 8 lbs. even. She's 24" (26" knees bent), Soft glass MP eyes in "smokey topaz", she's a breather, no magnet, tear ducts and I did some texturing on her elbows and knees (I still think it's a tad rough for my liking), neck and back armature. She has appropriate veining and a real cutie with her caramel color skin tones! I have to admit that she was a job, rooting all of that hair, but I had a certain look that I wanted for her and yes...I thought that I would never root again. LOL I think that I will stick to wispy micro-rooting and newborns...much easier...but I have to do one more toddler sized kit...Fei Yen's coming up soon but I will do my favs (preemies and micro-preemies). Need to get busy for the Rose International Doll show next year in Denver! I still have a few things that I think that I am going to adjust on her, but other than that I really love how she turned out!
Taleya is the equilent of a 9 month old. Wears a size 2 shoe and in clothing, comfortably wears 6 - 9 months.
I hope that you enjoy her and I will be updating...hugs!

WOW!
I have made a big dent in getting the rest of my "stuff" put up, but I still have a few things that I am going to have to work out as far as it's new home. I don't have nearly as many hidey-holes as before! So it will take some ingenuity on my part. Mostly, I have a lot of kits that are begging for attention! LOL I think that I am OCD to a degree, I have to have everything where it belongs or I just can't paint! I AM plugging along so that there are no more excuses! Bear with me! As Arnold Schwarzenegger says...I'll be bock! Hahaha!

Well I don't know what to say...
I have been away for awhile, yes I know. In truth l really lost my momentum. I just stopped. I thought if I just took a break...I had hoped to get it together, but I got lost. I knew that I had to try and make my way back, because I truly love reborning! Why I even ordered a few kits (so all is not lost LOL) while on my sabbatical! I finally did something (over the last few months) that I hope gives me a new and fresh perspective. I remodeled (overdue) my nursery work area. I felt closed in and uninspired, a table for this and a table for that got to be too much. Then I would get something new and just toss it on a table, it just didn't seem to matter. Even with the babies that were finished, I found myself just looking at them! I have felt it coming on for months. That is the bottom line. I hope that the new change brings about a change and I hope that you can forgive me!
This was my work station:
This is my new work station:
Yes, I know a stark contrast for sure! Now individual tables are gone! It's opened up and much more organized. I worked very hard to get it here and I hope that you like it as much as I do. I am resting up (not that long)! Lol It was a lot of hard work that I did by myself, so I have truly earned it (I'm not that young anymore)!
I also have neglected my website and I am going to take care of that next. Promise! On the lighter side, if you read anything that looks weird. I was experimenting and tried this on my "smartphone". I don't think that was such a great idea, but I made it! :-)

One down, one to go!
I finally got Bridgette's hair all rooted and she's all girl! She is the so adorable Amy kit by Jannie de Lange. Here's a sneak peak of her! It was hard finding a paci that would work for her, she has such chubby cheeks!
She hasn't been very happy since she got her ears pierced! LOL
I ordered her a special little outfit and then she'll be off for a special project and return ready for adoption!
I am working hard at getting the rest of Melanie's hair rooted. I hope to have her completed before the week is out, so you can see her!
I just got my "Sally" kit by Bonnie Brown. I just gave her a bubble bath...hummm, just to cute how those ears stick out!! LOL Gotta get back to work!!

Felicia FINALLY! LOL
It took a WHILE, but I finally got her parts to match! It took so many layers, washes and time that I didn't even try to write it down, thank God that I didn't have to re-root her too!
I have redone this little girl several times and was never happy since I first did her skin tones with the air dry paints only because she wouldn't fit in my little convection oven. Yes, I have a bigger one now and I haven't used air dry paints since. LOL! Now mind you she came out perfect (as far as I was concerned) with a beautiful coffee and cream skin color (even with the stress that I was very much under, that being, the loss of my husband). However, after months of curing, I found that the paint DID NOT adhere like it should all quite by accident and to my dismay. At that point you were told not to apply any Genesis sealers over your "air drys", because they didn't think it would work well with their paints. So I stripped her for the first time. It seemed logical that they should know their product. But, Genesis is not a true oil based paint and she was ruined! Grrrrr I wanted to cry and rip my hair out, but I didn't. I just stepped away from the curve so to speak I already knew that that would be a lot less painful! Now, long story short, I stripped and stripped and stripped and stripped. Every attempt she was too red or the paint just didn't look right. I left her for dead well over a year (sarcasm) because I was so disgusted. I finally decided it's a new year, how about another try?
She has more of a chocolate skin tone than I went for but I don't care! It's fine with me, because she still looked cute with her little tooth buds! LOL She's back to her adorable self and I am finally as happy as I am going to get!
I hope that you can see why all of the agony! LOL If not...taken outdoors / partial sun

Meet little Ms. Felicia Renae'!!!
Just look at that face and I loved how her hair rooted, it is so versatile, I just couldn't let it go!
So there you have it and now we have:
Now for her to find her forever mommy!

Babies are coming along!
Just checking in and updating! Well Felicia / Nikki and Jazzie / Candy are coming along! Still not real crazy about Felicia's coloring but it's much better than it was. Jazzie is on her last skin tone steps so I hope to be rooting her by tomorrow! I was going to paint her hair, but a trusted friend wants me to root. Okay, so I will! LOL I have never had a hard time figuring out the eyes for my babies until Jazzie! Haven't figured out why either! LMAO However I do have some selected so once she completes her coloring I will make a decision then. I will be getting fresh pictures up hopefully by next week!

Another Bountiful Baby Contest! REALLY?
Bountiful Baby is having a reborning contest for newly released "Chanel and Candy"! Okay, I know, lol so while working on Felicia I am going to be bringing "Candy" (another winner) by Donna RuBert to life! She's going to be 20 inches long, has 3/4 arms and full legs! She takes 20 mm eyes. Thinking about possibly doing some hair painting, maybe. Just not sure until I see her head. I already know that I am going to do her in Caucasian flesh tones and that will keep me from getting "color slammed" while working on Felicia's AA skin tones. Meaning? That will help to keep me in perspective. She already has her name, Jazmyn!! Think I'll call her Jazzie for short! LOLROTF I am so excited! I see great photographic potential for her too!
They are both adorable sculpts and I know that I will have my "Candy" kit by Monday! Yeahhhh!! I chose Candy over Chanel because of her slightly opened mouth. It's as if she is cooing. She just looks like a happy baby.

I borrowed the picture from them until she comes! Hopefully they don't mind! I just wanted you to see her right now! Anming has had her bath and waiting, but she's gotta wait until the contests are over...she's a little sad about that too! See ya soon Jazzie!!!

I promised pictures and I have delivered!
Okay, no pun intended! After rooting and rooting and rooting, I finally finished Nadia. Still as I worked there was something that just didn't grab me. Then it hit me!
Surprise, surprise about Nadia....
Nadia is a BOY!!! I guess the ultrasound was a little off! LOLROTF Well you will see!

micro-rooted with TNGUN's mohair
Made an absolutely adorable little boy!!! As you can see I am having a ball photographing him. Poor little thing has no real chin to speak of but he's still very photogenic!
Well of course I had to come up with a new name for "him" since Nadia is a girl's name that meant hope. Meet Nuri (pronounced NOOR-ee) which means "light". I think that it fits him very well with his bi-racial skin tones and I just love the "Joey" limbs on him. So the moral of this story is everything happens for a reason! LOL
Now off to root the twins!

WIP Nadia and Fraternal twins
It's been a heck of a month for April, as the Bible says we won't know one season from the next. Well it has been true. Hot one day frost the next, just pray that May is a little gentler, it would be my hubby's 68 birthday! We survived a tornado touch down that was barely over a mile away. I felt and still feel so blessed and sorry for those hit by it, it just seemed to choose a street and demolished it. The true blessing is no one was killed. Some injuries of course. The only casualty was a line repairman, he was electrocuted the next day trying to restore power to the community. We didn't lose power, but there was dimming. The thunderstorms that followed were powerful. Last year we were dealing with a drought and this year possible floods. LOL to keep from crying, but we're still here me and my babies. I think a lot about my husband especially at times like these. Just don't know what to say anymore, I just know that he's safe now. Just be very careful wherever you are. Anyway on to more positive things, what I have been working on!
Nadia (1st Peep) is coming along! I have been playing with her skin tones and I think that she's going to be beautiful if I may say so myself! I am using bi-racial skin tones and she's developing a beautiful light honey colored flavor! I will be showing pics of her soon! Promise!
Twins Tavis and Tavia are in progress and I would love to show their progress, but I don't want to mess up because I am trying a new process, a very long process, but truly seems worth the effort.

LOL I will tell you this, that they are going to be Caucasian preemies. The kits are actually twins by Jackie Gwin (Angie and Cody), they are just adorable! I am dying to finish them!!! I put in his eyes so it won't look so weird and if you didn't know...I LOVE REBORNING PREEMIES and no I don't really know why. I think that I just love how tiny and delicate they look, but in reality they can be true little warriors.
Great news Paris and Raven did make it to France to their new mommy!!! I am slowly cleaning out the nursery so that I have some place for the new babies. Hopefully Jiselle and Jenelle are as lucky, I had them on eBay for five days! Poor little Jai-Lin, been on eBay twice now, just won't budge, many watchers though. I will just hold off on her for a little while longer, just wasn't her time.
Anyhoo, have a wonderful and blessed day! Pictures coming soon!

Little Tia has finally been adopted
I was so surprised when a lady asked about her because she fell in love with her! I never figured she'd leave because of her size. Tia's only like 10.5 inches long, she's a Kimberly Durden sculpt "Tiny Blessings". I had to make most of her little outfits, The nautical outfit is an actual dolly dress but it was just so cute on her! Although I have to admit, she's got personality plus! Those big eyes and I never know which way she's looking! As tiny as her ears are...I had the nerve to pierce them and she's got her own bed. LOL
So "Tiny Little Tia" is going to Ohio next week! I can't wait to hear from her new mom!

BABY update
Went from warm to extremely windy and bitter cold here. LeLei got to see his first snow and didn't quite know what to make of it, too funny, but he quickly adjusted and Delylah (being a pro) could care less. Now it's melted, still cold and it's winter!
Well we are about to wrap this year up. Seems it went by soooo soon! I felt like I had just put up the Christmas lights from last year and it was time to get them out again. And yes again, it took everything I had to do them. It's just not the same anymore without him. I guess that it's because it was our favorite time of the year, now it just seems like another day. Then with all of the tragedies that have happened. I just don't know, people killing babies just doesn't sit well with me. To cheer me up my fav cousin sent me a beautiful poinsettia. It's so big it looks like a tree and I'm not good with these things (bummer). It's just good to have family and friends to be with during this time, but that isn't what I came here to talk to you about. Its been running through my mind, regardless, I am trying to keep an upbeat post going on here.
So stay on track Judie, stay on track! I came to show you updates on the girls. Here they are together Abra (L) and Presley Dawn. You can see the difference in their skin tones that way too!
Presley has eyelashes now. I did her hair with Slumberland mohair. Abra is still WIP but she's being done with TNGUN mohair and I have to say it but I really do like it better. Maybe because it's "kid" cut, that being the first haircut on the young goat, it's more "baby"? I don't know, but all that I've gotten from her, it simply seems softer. Now don't get me wrong I do love Slumberland's hair, but you know we all have our favs! :o)
Abra is just about completed in the front, it's wet, but I still wanted to take her pic to show you. I just love how her skin tones came out! I'm thinking more peaches n' cream? She has "flash face" from my Cphone camera, so on the next one so she looks a lot lighter than she is.
I just hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a very blessed New "2013" if I don't get to post before!

Both of them have glass eyes. I just love the little pouty mouth on Abra and I think that she has more of a fat baby look in comparison! I can't wait to start dressing them. Doesn't look like a Christmas birthday for them.
No Presley's Lashes aren't super long. It's just the way that I angled the camera at her head so that you could see how delicate looking they are! She has such dreamy eyes don't you think? I guess that you can see her little stark bite! I made Presley Dawn a little nose scratch too, thought about doing one on her cheek but that seemed like over-kill after I thought about it (before doing it, thank God), had to clip her nails so that she won't do it again. Why do babies always end up with some kind of booboo right before a holiday picture? LOL
Can you see her lashes? Sorry about the blurry pictures, as I said, took these on my cellphone while I was working on Abra so they are not the best at the moment but you can at least see how they are progressing!
All trimmed up, she's going to sport the short wispy style and Abra will have curly hair or at least it can be styled to be curly! I'm going over her for a final inspection before she comes all together, so to speak. At this point they will be my first babies of the New Year for certain! Cooking for Christmas again. With that being said...
I just hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a very blessed New "2013" if I don't get to post before!
