Lil D's progress...

Working off and on on Seth's head (that name may change). Kinda helps me get my mind off of my baby. Lil D's progress...or lack of. Well it's been a week. She's gotten a little of her sweet personality back but she's not showing any improvement as far as her knee is concerned. Seems like she's a candidate for a very expensive knee surgery. They don't want to wait more than a month and I don't see what good waiting will do. I can't stand watching her hopping around, although she's handling it better than I am. Just means a much longer convalescence for her to still end up needing the surgery. I'm just not feeling that. So I stay still so that she stays still, her appetite is all that great, but has a positive note. She's a little overweight so short of not making herself sick, would take some of the pressure off of her other knee, by the way can be affected due to her over compensating. So, back to relieving my stress and watching Seth's hair really starting to take shape beautifully.

Seth (aka Lex)

Well little Seth is getting cuter by the day taking my dear sweet time on rooting his head. He is just adorable...oh sorry I've said that before.  Jai Li still needs her nails and touch up done. Basically been lap sitting Little D! Just a mama's baby!! :o) She is still limping, no better but no worse. I started her on Omega3 to help heal her joint injury, also helps with her coat / shedding. Still don't know if it will heal on it's own but it's worth a try. I will be calling her vet tomorrow.

Progress..

Well I've kept her quiet as possible. Still not weight bearing after 24 hours but I hope that is a plus, I wish for her to heal slowly and completely. The less she trys to use her little leg the better, I'll have to report to her vet next Monday either way! Just hope surgery is not required!! Did I say that already? Poor baby she is getting a little more back to herself, probably the drugs! Anti-inflamatory and pain medication, lets say she's doing a lot more sleeping. I also think that she is eating up the fact that she's getting carried around a lot! LOL

Now I can get started back on rooting my Lex. I just can't wait to see how his hair is going to turn out too! Still have to do nails on both babies and make Jai Li's special little outfit. I was looking at the material last night! I think she's going to be sooooo what shall we say? Oriental! LOLROTF

My Lil D had a mishap...

A couple of hours now back from the emergency vet with lil D. I let her out for her last potty run and her usual "chase the rabbit" game. However, this time it wasn't a rabbit it was a young possum. When we both realized it, is when it didn't run away like they usually do. It didn't get her, I think it was more afraid of me when I took off after her. When she turned to come back to me she yelped I thought it just scared her, but I checked her over anyway and no scratches or bites. I put her down and she wouldn't bare any weight on her left back leg. Now I'm scared. I feel up her leg, foot to her hip didn't seem broke but I thought fracture? Knee? when I heard a popping sound. Not good. I took her to emergency and she was xrayed. $299.00 later, they think that she tore her ACL and that seems to require surgical repair. Expensive surgical repair. We have never been apart since my hubby died. She has to be very contained for at least 8 weeks with or without surgery, so now it's a waiting game. They are going to call in the morning with the radiologist report to confirm. I am just praying that she's not in severe pain, she's so sweet about it, it's hard to tell. I did give her meds that work for pain and another anti-inflamatory. So I am asking you to pray for us! I know that I am over reacting but she's my baby girl and helped me through so much, now I gotta help her! We've been through so much together. I could just cry, like anything else it just happened so fast it's like a bad dream.

Jai Li's progress...

Photobucket

Progress!!!!

Well, well, well she's got her eyelashes after all! Yeahhhh and they were just the right size! I didn't want to overwhelm her eyes with ones that would be too big. I think these are just perfect! Then I took her a step further, I micro-rooted her eyebrows with Suri alpaca. I like the texture because this alpaca is truly baby fine and I think they worked out perfectly, they look so delicate, much better than mohair or human which is much too coarse for infant brows. Just the same I think that it builds even more character when you can carry realism one step further.

Seth is coming along nicely, he'll have updates soon!

W.I.P.

Catching up once again ! LOL

I am working on Lex by Natali Blick and Jiao by Andrie Stoete now known as Seth and Jai Li (Jah-Lee) which means good and beautiful in Chinese. Yes, I am actually working on 2 babies at one time! Both will have brown eyes of course and dark brown hair. One's a boy and the other a girl! That helped immensely! Jai Li's hair looks almost black it's so pretty and a rich soft dark brown. Seth will be micro-rooted with Slumberland hair in deep dark brown. Jai Li's hair will be dark, dark brown from TNGUN and she is looking awesome. I am using a #46 and you better go slow, even though they say that they are extra strength, I have broken quite a few needles, but I love the results so far! It will be worth it, they are coming along beautiful!

Seth:

Isn't that the cutest little raspberry!!!
I love how his skin tones are coming out!

Jai Li

Although to me on here the look pretty much the same color in these photos I assure you that they are not. Both have very, very thin layers and layers of GHSPs. With her, I didn't want a lot of yellow undertones. Asians have a wide range of coloring. I do love how her coloring is coming out as well. I am debating on if she will have eyelashe are not. She has those tight little hooded eyes that may be over-whelmed if I don't do it right. Seth with very natural looking darker Caucasion undertones is really a cutie too! I can't wait to see him with his eyelashes. I am hoping for dreamy eyes! I think that you will really enjoy their photo shoots when they are ready! I have got some ideas for Jai Li that I am biting at the bit to do!

Taraji is home with her new mommy & all settled in! Photo intense!

Sorry I'm late with her update! Well now that she's home with her mommy I can show you how she progressed her painted hair (my second attempt but first actual...ok if that makes sense LOL). She came out simply adorable and she was a big hit with my sister! She even took her to work to show her off when she felt better!!! She was being tortured because she had to wait several days even after she got this big box. It was so funny that she actually didn't open until the time I had down. Now get this Not to open until 5 pm on Valentine's Day! LOL I don't even know where I picked that time out of the air. Anyway enough chatter, I know that you have been wanting to see lil Raji!! Watch her transform!

After numerous layers of GHSP's

Welcome little Taraji Rucker

No she didn't go home this way, she just had to stay in the NICU for a few days! LOL

All ready to go home!
She wasn't happy with her photo shoots at all!

Hope you enjoyed lil Raji, her mommy sure does!
