Wichita Kansas Doll Show

Well for a first show, Jennifer, Scott and their lovely family, I am very happy to say it was a wonderful success and fun! I got to see old friends and met new ones. The 2018 show participation started out a little shaky but in the end vendors joined in. They were helpful and wonderful hosts. In the previous shows that I have done that kind of special touch was never offered and everyone we encountered were friendly and fun. It was very well organized and coordinated, you wouldn't have known it was a first for them. I might add that they sold out for the 2019 doll show within 24 hours! It was a mad rush after all of the lovely reviews and had I not happened to go on FB that particular evening, I would have completely missed out! Whewwww, in less than 24 hours! Now they have a waiting list just in case some vendors may not be able to attend next year! I knew that they would grow fast, but....wow! Now, I just pray that they keep that reference of personalization, because in 2020 they will definitely need a larger venue and more help. LOLROTF

Marita (Monty) Winters hosted the Wizard of Oz Doll contest using her specified kits and I must say there were some imaginative and beautifully done depictions of the Oz characters! We weren't allowed to show any pictures or naming the entry catagory until after the contest was over. It was all secret and I liked that even though it was hard not to share. That being said, yes I did enter "Zane" as Glinda the Good Baby Witch. I had a ball doing this and I am going to say that it was a shock and honor. She placed 1st as "Glinda" and Best In Show! Never in a million years would I have thought that!

Now for the recap. It was fun and inspiring! I met old and new friends and I loved the special touch!  It was hard to see how they could top this year's venue of "Follow the Yellowbrick Road", but I think that they might have! Stay tuned. Now for pictures!

Meet Pavel my newest baby

Introducing Pavel (PAW-vel) my newest baby boy 3 lbs. 8 ozs. and 16 inches long! He was formerly the Ltd. Ed.  "Brandon kit by the talented Tamie Yarie. This tiny prince has gorgeous Caucasian skin tones that were achieved using the brand new Ultimate Fusion Air dry Paints. Yes, I like to try new things. These paints very durable (I mean durable) and after the proper curing time, they are extremely difficult to remove! I am in love (with him too! πŸ’‹)!!! This little preemie which is what his name means in Russian (small) has 3/4 limbs, doe suede body, micro-rooted and hand rooted eyelashes with black alpaca baby soft hair by J's Premium Mohair, hand painted eyebrows, milia, veining, tummy plate, magnetic binky and more! Just sooooo sweet and easy to pose!!!

Harper Layne's Here! UPDATE!!!

πŸ’˜πŸ’˜Well the bad...Have you ever had a taste for something so bad and when you go to get it they are all out? LOL, me and the follow-me eyes didn't agree on several issues...and she has the perfect expression for them. Anyway, that was shelved for now 😏bummer. Still working on perfecting them...all is not lost. There will be others.

but here's the good! I am so pleased with how she turned out in spite of my initial busted bubble! She has to-die-for beautiful "cobalt blue" eyes and dark eyelashes for contrast, pierced ears and is baby scented, blinged-out binky and bracelet. She wears 0-3 months, 20" long and weight's a healthy 4 lbs. 14 ozs.
Her strawberry N Cream complexion is perfect for these absolutely gorgeous eyes and adorable expression! I am still in love! 😍

So much personality, I just had to show her off some more!!! πŸ’‹πŸ’“

Meet Harper Layne and she's is almost there!

Toddler Harper Layne was formerly the "Marcus" LE Kit by AK Katigawa. She's got strawberries N'Cream skin tones (Miracle Blend Paints with a permanent seal of Soft Touch Decor sealant) with the cutest little expression of cooing! Still a little work to go, but I am so excited about her "follow me" handmade eyes. She's rooted with Dark Golden Brown Alpaca that is a dream to root from J's Premium Mohair (Jeremy) and it's baby soft.

WIP and presenting these little cuties!

Jada, Jasmine and Jon the triplets are tiny, happy and adorable, they are known as
Made their little tee-shirts correspond with their birth time! Didn't put the names on them (just in case mom wants different names), that's just to know which baby was which with the names that I gave them.
the girls are identical twins

even made them their own "triplet" stroller!

and now for my latest WIP, Marcus (sold out) LE Kit by AK Katigawa, now known as Harper:
The eyes are just for aesthetic purposes just in case. Didn't want to freak anyone out with empty eye orbits! LOL I can't wait to get her finished!!! She's a cooing sweetheart for sure! πŸ’“

Well found what I was looking for...my login information!

Yes I know it's been a long while again!😭 I have lost several family members in the past 6 months (younger than me). 😩 Couldn't remember where I had my Blogger login information. Just been a mess~ I truly thought that this year was going to be so much better...πŸ˜†
Left my door key at home, just going to run out pick up a few items, alarm set and could get back in...that is until the power went out...😲Now who does THAT? That would be me!! LOL Lesson learned! Those assumptions are dead and buried and a key ALWAYS with me!!!

On a much more positive note I have been working with my brother-in-law to help him through his grief (you don't understand until you have traveled that very lonely road) of losing my younger sister?his wife in March, also preparing for the doll show in Wichita Kansas at the end of August. Making progress so I feel pretty good about that.
Working on a few neat projects and improving up on the ones that I just wasn't totally happy with. Zawadi has finally gotten her dress made...ohhhh I am on a role!😎 I shall return!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ™
